The cozy Columbia Infant Boys' Steens Mountain Fleece Jacket will keep your infant boy warm in cool weather. Columbia made this fuzzy jacket from its Maximum Thermal Retention fleece, which is quick-drying and doesn't pill. It stretches four ways, so your little one can wiggle all he pleases. The Steens Mountain Fleece sheds water, keeping him dry if it starts sprinkling out.
Bottom Line:
Outfit your infant in the soft Columbia Steens Mountain Jacket to keep him warm when a t-shirt just isn’t enough.
This is a great first fleece for your little one, that is soft, cozy, and easy to care for (washer machine and dryer friendly). One thing, the body is SHORT on this jacket. My son wears 6-12 month right now and we got him an 18 month so he could wear it longer, but it fits him now. The sleeves are longer, but the body of the jacket runs shorter. If you want a jacket that is a bit more proportional I would recommend going up to the toddler sizes.
Ditto the reviewers who advised going up a size. We got the 12-month size for our 6mo son, and it fits well over sweaters and isn't too short. (I actually ordered the 6-month size to compare and opted against it since it would have been too tight over bulky clothes.)
Nice jacket for the price. However the picture of the jacket shows that it is red with black on both sides. There is no black except on columbia logo. Was disappointed that it was not as pictured.
Got this little jacket for a friends baby shower. She didn't know what sex she was having so I got the Burnt orange/red color and it was a hit at the shower. I definitely think either sex could wear this color. It was mighty soft as well
Like some other reviewers wrote, this jacket runs small. I purchased the 18 months for my 11-month-old son, and he has just a bit of growing room. This jacket is soft and well made. It's not for standing outside in the middle of winter, but it keeps him warm on car rides and doesn't interfere with how his carseat should fit.
These fit very, very small. I purchased two for my son but sent them back due to the sizing... Also, the fit isn't near as flexible as, say, LLB's, (and, sorry to say, their's also comes with a hood). I'd only give these a half a star, but the option isn't there to do so. Wouldn't recommend
Awesome jacket...I agree with one of the reviews that I read prior to buying this jacket, if your child is wearing 12 months get 18 months the torso is shorter. It is a perfect jacket for the in and out of the car trips during the winter and will be great for early spring. Don't expect to be able to stand outside in the heart of winter in this coat.
I love this for my little guy. It fits perfect and keeps him warm. It's also super soft which is important for the babies and it fits true to size, we got the 12 month size in brown.
