Castelli BodyPaint Women's Bib Shorts - 2011 BCS
Castelli re-engineered its Women's BodyPaint Bib Short for a better fit, more comfortable bib straps, and aerodynamics. As part of Castelli's Rosso Corsa collection, this distance-oriented piece represents the cutting edge in cycling innovation in both shorts and chamois technology.
The BodyPaint Shorts feature a single piece of knit Power Stretch Lycra fabric to offer optimal fit and moisture management during long rides. The use of a single piece of fabric eliminates seams and chafing associated with them, making these shorts lighter with better stretch. Up grading from the original BodyPaint shorts, aerodynamic dimples on the legs reduce drag on the fabric, perfect for your local time trial series. Mesh inserts on the back add ventilation, adding to the moisture transfer feature in the Lycra to keep you cool. Elastic gripper along the bottom hem keeps the shorts in place with a Castelli Sublimation-printed logo around the leg opening.
Seamless straps feature GIRO2 compression band to stimulate circulation and enhance fit through the bibs. Sitting higher on your back, the straps sit closer in on your shoulders so you don't have to worry about them sliding around as you ride.
The new Progetto X2 Donna takes its structural design from the men's chamois of the same name, which is also worn by the Garmin-Cervelo Pro team. The woman-specific seamless chamois features a four-way-stretch, antibacterial layer for comfort and odor resistance. Multi-density foam padding is placed where you need it, under your sit bones, for better protection on long rides without unnecessary padding where you don't need it. Perforated viscous comfort inserts add ventilation and padding in highly sensitive ishial and perineal areas to increase the breathability.
Reflective Castelli graphic increases visibility and safety when your ride takes you into the night. The Castelli Women's BodyPaint Bib Shorts come in Black. Sizes run X-Small through X-Large.

I have been wanting to try these out for quite some time and finally got some. Overall I liked the bibs - the compression of the material is really nice, the chamois feels really good. It is a thicker chamois, great for the longer rides and it has extended material to the sides which is great for people who have sensitive skin and tend to chafe...
The downside (for me), my legs are fairly muscular and I found the leg holes themselves, at the band, were too small for my thighs. They were cutting off circulation to my legs especially after I would get some leg pump from riding :-(
Being 5'2" @ 100lbs, and 24" waist, 33" hips...ordering a size up is not an option for me - they fit well otherwise....
