Campagnolo Chorus 11 Skeleton Brake Calipers - 2012 BCS
It's easy to love the classic polished finish of the Campagnolo Chorus 11 Skeleton brake calipers. It's reminiscent of Campy's days of yore, and it's the most distinct difference between Chorus 11 calipers and the black Super Record 11 and Record 11 calipers.
Other than aesthetics, there are substantially more similarities than differences between Chorus 11 and the pricier Super Record 11 and Record 11. In fact, you can read the Record 11 brake description and it's a nice summary of Chorus 11. Are Chorus calipers forged (not CNC'd) for longevity, strength, and stiffness? Yes. Do they have the same Skeletonized arms? Yes. Do they have the same differentiated design? Indeed. Do you get the same orbital pad adjustment and brake pads? Yes. The only changes are the following: The Chorus fixing screws are made from a lightweight aluminum alloy, instead of the Ti fixing screws you find in Super Record and Record. And they aren't built with the same ball bearing system. But beyond these nuanced differences, they're the functional twin of Record.
The actual weight is 317g -- that's 33g heavier than Record and 41g heavier than Super Record.
