Burton Launch Jacket - Men's - 2008 BCS
The relaxed-fit Burton Menís Launch Jacket delivers protection for warm days in the park or during backcountry booter sessions. Burtonís comfy ALS mesh lining increases the Launchís mobility and breathability so you can hike back up the pipe without a swamp ruining your next run. Burton designed its Dryride Durashell two-layer DWR-coated fabric to shield you from the elements while allowing excess heat to disperse before turning into sweat. You might biff your next hit, but the Burton Launch Jacket keeps you warm and dry so you can get back up and repeat launch sequence. - Fall 2008.

Christmas present for son
January 26, 2009
I purchased the jacket as a Christmas present for my son after comparing prices and finding the best price with your store. My son and I ski/snowboard a couple times a week at Whitefish Mountain Resort/Big Mountain and the jacket has proved to stand up to the wear and tear so far. My son is very pleased with the jacket, it arrived quickly and without any hassle.
Thanks Chris Bishop

This jacket is awesome! It looks amazing and keeps you warm with maybe a light fleece sweater or hoodie underneath. It always keeps you pretty dry through the worst storms!

Just got back from Iraq and had this jacket waiting for me. I got it in the light camo before it went out of stock. Great jacket for spring riding. It kept me warm both seasons(caught the tail end of winter) and it keeps the snow out. I'm pretty warm blooded but I would still recommend this jacket for anyone that rides! Board safe homies!

any comments on using this jacket in warm powder days and the backcountry? i have a gortex insulated Quiksilver that about 5 years old that i get too warm in when i have zip it up to keep the powder out and the temp is 30 degrees plusi will keep using my gortex on cool days but want another jacket for warmer days that can still keep my dry. so this would be to use:1.) on warms days in the resort when there's powder and may be snowing2.) hiking in the backcountry. this will usually be when its sunny but with powder.. right??any input would be great!thanks

Great for the price

I love this jacket. It fits great and the pocket placements are perfect. It is 5K/5000g so it is not that waterproof or breathable, but it is very lightweight. Get it on sale.

I got the jacket in Light Camo and I love it. It holds up well in wet conditions, but is a little bit light. Great jacket for spring riding, and fine in harsh winter weather with a sweat shirt under it

Is this warm enough for the cold winter months in my beautiful wasatch mountains? snowbasin?

It's designed for "warm days in the park" so you might want to think about a different jacket or be prepared for some serious layering. You should also consider that its rated at 5k waterproof/breathable which is kinda low.RippinStick says: I shred the beautiful Wasatch daily, and I would totally rock this jacket. I wear a shell jacket at the Bird on all but the coldest of days with a baselayer and sweater or light fleece. Barrett is right though, 5K waterproof rating is fairly low. You might get damp on those days when it's nuking snow.

Purchased for my son
January 26, 2009
I purchased the jacket as a Christmas present for my son and he is very pleased with it. He and I ski/snowboard a couple times a week at Whitefish Mountain Resort/Big Mountain and the jacket seems to be holding up and doing the job fine. The shipping was fast and hassle free, we are very happy powder pigs. "PRAY FOR SNOW"

AKPOWDERGUIDES doesn't know what he's talking about. He said Kevin Pearce wore the continuum down jacket at the x-games but he actually wore this one. Yeah, the down jacket will keep you warmer, but that's because it's supposed to because its a down jacket. As long as you're not wearing this jacket in below freezing temps, it's awesome. Highly recommend it, especially at the price it's at. Light camo for sure.

when i first wore this jacket on thanksgiving day 08 at Alyeska Resort, AK it was snowing, then hailing, then raining. that being said some part the snow was very slushy, some powdery, some icy. at the base, all my buddies were soaked and wet from the inside of their jackets but for me i was dry!!!this jacket is worthed!!!The CONTINNUM version is way more expensive cuz of its interior but put some extra layers inside this jacket and your good to go. unless you got the money to waste then buy the continnum. if not this is worth every penny. and I had a lot of compliments and stares. i recommend this highly!

heres the thing, this jacket is a shell, for the launch jacket at least. theres two types of this jacket, the launch (shell) and the continuum (insulated). i prefer the continuum jacket, its warmer and seems to have alot more features on it than the launch jacket does. both are gnarly jackets cause of the outtter design. depending where you ride depends on the type of jacket you want i guess. i ride where it cold so i went for teh warmer jacket, the lanuch jacket is gnarly but your gunna wanna have a sweatshrit or under armound underneath. if you cant tell by the pictures which jacket is which (cause they have the same outter design) look on the inside of the hood, the insulated jacket will have a teal blue color to it and the continuum jacket will have black. plain and simple these jackets by burton are great, no complains, pit zips, powder skirts, arm guards, pockets all over. the game is ON with the Jacket
Cooler than it looks here.
