Blackburn Quadrant Mars 3.0 Light Combo - 2007 BCS

Item # BLB0009

When you're running errands around town or bike commuting to work, the most important thing (besides wearing a helmet) is that you're seen. Blackburn ensures absent-minded motorists see you pedaling with the Quadrant Mars 3.0 Light Pack. The Quadrant Light up front gives you the brightness and long burning time of four LEDs. The two optically boosted center LEDs illuminate what's ahead and the wide angle side LEDs provide 180 degrees of visibility. Meanwhile, the Mars 3.0 rear light has your back with seven LEDs that provide 180 degrees of safety-boosting visibility.

Bottom Line:

The Blackburn Quadrant Mars 3.0 Light Pack keeps you seen from all angles.

The tail is bright and noticeable, but sadly it uses AAA's so you have to buy another set of rechargeable batteries. The head is powerful enough to light the road for you, and not only let cars see you, but let you avoid obstacles.

Rear Light, Yes. Headlight, Ummm

I'll be straight with everyone, I HATE big bike headlights. They feel clunky and are an eyesore to me. Unfortunately, that is exactly what this has. While the mounting for both the front and tail light is pretty intuitive and strong, why did the headlight have to be so freaking big? The tail light on the other hand is the perfect size and gives out a great amount of light for it's size. If you are unlike me and don't mind big clunky headlights, give this a try.

I must own the previous generation model of this. I had to color the top edge of the lens black so it didn't shine in my eyes. This one is tinted all the way around. I agree about the size, I also have another cheap headlight, its like a small led flashlight, works just as good, half the size.
