Bern Watts Hard Hat w/Knit Liner

Protect your head all winter with the Bern Watts Hard Hat Helmet; when summer rolls around, pop out the knit liner and shred the skate park or dirt pump track comfortably. Skiing, snowboarding, skating or biking, the Brock foam inside helps to protect your head from multiple, lower-level impacts rather than one huge, catastrophic hit. For everyone who lives in a state where the sun scorches your eyeballs 350 days a year, Bern added a mini-brim to shield your peepers.

  • Hard Hat version with Brock Foam is not EN/AST/CPSC certified for severe single impacts, but it is able to withstand multiple, lighter hits without requiring replacement (as compared to Zipmold and EPS foam, which is certified but must be replaced after a single hit, however hard or soft)
  • Removable knit liner allows for year-round action sport use—leave it in to fight off the winter chill and take it out when the weather warms up

Great Helmet!

This is a great helmet. Sizing chart is accurate and it fits very well. Very light. Will say though that the neon green picture advertised is not the same as what you get. The helmet is actually much darker. But with dogfunk's great return policy, it wasn't a big deal.

Solid Dome Piece

First one kept me safe and sound through many bonks and bumps on the skis and longboard, as well as a tremendous bike crash. Number two will surely do the same. Comfortable and stylee. Bern has my whole family protected.

i've taken some hard falls with this helmet on and it's not as bad as with my old RED helmet. did get a gnarly concussion but that can't be helped by any helmet. i enjoy the low profile and new padding system bern has got going. buy this helmet!

You can buy the knit lining with headphones built in separately. I think they are called the 8 track lining.

Great Helmet...Looks even better!

After a couple runs, I didn't even realize I had it on...Super light! I took the vent cover out right away...It does get a little warm. My 1st helmet, so don't know what to compare it to, but I like it & very happy.

The real deal

I'm one of those cool guys that you see riding around town on an e-bike. I got the occasional "cat call" from those I passed but I knew it had to be my helmet.
I just got my new Bern Watts, in red and white to match my bike. It's amazing! The quality is obvious and the fit is perfect. Now when I ride down the street, if anyone has any comments, I know they'll be shouts of envy for my new hard hat.
I would recommend this helmet to anyone who is tired of looking like a dork.

I got the Matte Black/Grey Brim w/ Black Knit, Medium size. fits very comfortably. and the black knit liner kept me warm from the amazing powder heaven in hokkaido, japan (niseko/annupuri/hanazono). and when i got too warm, i took out the vent guard and it allowed me to let some steam out of my head. bern doesn't fail us with the Watts Hard Hat
