The sizing is a bit smaller- to the Micro puff jacket cause l have the the green black version of it in a SM-fit spot on with a t-shirt/wool body hugging long sleeve. I did get the Berghaus ignite hoody in a MD-fit a bit big but I have more room to layer/over hardshell if needed. In other words I think I could've had a fitted jacket in the SM but my spec's are 5'9", 155lbs, athletic build. I don't think its as warm as the Micro puff jacket but has same insulation tho, must be that the pertex is more breathable than poly-dwr. Anyhow at this price its a real good deal on D.O.G if they have the right sizes for you. Oh yeah this hoody does not have pit-zips, other than that its a worthy jacket cause its still warm at 30 deg. with a t-shirt, but thats just me.

Not waterproof!

Use it (loan it from a frind) in a havy rain. and after 3h the rain get in and I was wet to my bones...It can held wind good

yea,it's a insulator not a waterproof shell jacket.

you should worn a Waterproof jacket in heavy rain for three hours.

This jacket is not meant to be waterproof. You should be very impressed that a super lightweight nylon shell held off heavy rain for three hours. It's an insulated jacket that's meant to keep you warm, not a rain jacket.

This jacket looks great (the silver / blue one anyways), is very packable, nice hood etc. but not quite as warm as I was hoping. The montbell thermawrap I tried was definitely warmer. Overall I'm a little disappointed in how thin it is... might have returned if I hadn't gotten foam sealant goo all over it while working on the house... doh!
