Bakoda Padded Travel Snowboard Bag - 2009 BCS

Item # NTH0141

Don’t take chances with your investment—pull the bindings off and stash your snowboard in the Bakoda Padded Travel Bag. As if this minimalist bag was bred to be the most versatile option for the price, the expandable feature allows it to morph from a mere 160cm to 180cm capacity with the pull of a zipper. Throw the monster pow stick in there if the reports are calling for epic dumps all weekend. Note: if padding isn’t enough to ease your mind enlist the power of in-flight alcohol.

Bottom Line:

Once your snowboard starts a trip through the conveyer belt jungle it’s out of your hands—which is why you should protect it with the Bakoda Padded Travel Bag.

Does this bag have good waterproofing? Or any at all for that matter? I just got a new car and I don't want to get the interior wet as I will be stashing it over the fold down seats in my hatch.

Thanks Jesse, that's just what I was hoping to hear.

My bag should be here in a couple days. I will follow up with your question as soon as I have it in my hands.

As far as it looks, it should be able to handle the melted ice and snow coming off your board without coming right through the bag. Possibly a nylon lining. I will follow up!

Follow Up: This bag aint gonna leak nothing!! It is lined with a tarp style inside, that will definitely hold fast. I would say you got your waterproofing :)

Great bag.

Although the brand 'Bakoda' might be a bit obscure compared to Burton or others this bag packs all the same features for rock bottom pricing. The bag is more than large enough to fit your board, bindings and gear without any issues and the durable fabric and padding should keep it safe on the drive up to the slopes. As the descriptions mentions there is an extension zipper that transforms the bag from 160cm to 180cm with ease so this bag is perfect for anyone. My only gripe is that it was difficult getting my 158cm board in without using the extension zipper, but once it is in I was able to zip it back up for a nice compact bag. To quote a review I've seen before it'll 'turn your steezy dial to overdrive.'

Highly recommended.

Recently recieved this bag myself, and I can confirm that there is plenty of room in the bag. Right now I have: 158 CM Board/Bindings, Boots, Jacket, Pants, Goggles and my a beanie comfortably packed into the bag. I managed to do all this with the bag still in the 160cm mode, so if you needed even more space the extension can be used.

Not necessarily. If you just fold the highbacks down you should be fine.

It says this bag adjusts from 160 to 180. Is it an either/or option or is it variable, for instance could I set it up to fit my 161 without having 19 extra cms flapping in the wind?

It is either/or not variable. You could open extension to get the board in and then try to zip it up since an extra cm isn't much.

1cm = .4 inches
I'd be surprised if the board wouldn't fit

It unzips at 160 cm and then you will have to commit to the 180 cm length.
