I just got this jacket and as you can see by my review it was

I just got this jacket and as you can see by my review it was way too small. I am still debating on trying the XL or to go with a different style, i.e. the Armada kindle. Can you tell me if I would have any more room in the hip area with the kindle than the kayo ?

Materials and quality are very good, however, I would not recommend this jacket for anyone over 16. Seriously, it was very small. I wear a ladies size 10/12. I tried the jacket on with a tee shirt and could barely zip it.. size L. I would need a 2XL to fit me with thermals, t-neck and sweater underneath. If you are petitte, it is a lovely jacket. If you are at all curvy, try a different style. Unfortunately, it only comes in sizes up to XL so I will be returning it.
