Arc'teryx Phase AR Crew - Women's

Item # ARC0989

Arc'teryx designed the Women's Phase AR Crew with its smooth Phasic AR fabric to create a supremely versatile, year-round base layer. Phasic AR's fuzzy interior draws perspiration away from your skin and disperses it on the fabric's smooth outer face for fast evaporation. It stretches, breathes, and resists odors too. And since the Phase AR top is nice and light, you'll find yourself wearing it for far more than skiing ... it loves an evening hike or climb as much as you do. The bonus? Princess seams and figure-friendly shaping make sure you still look like a girl three pitches off the ground.

Bottom Line:

AR stands for all-around awesomeness.

Perfect Amount of Warmth

I loved this piece at first touch. It is super soft yet feels like it has the durability to go through hundreds of washes. In fact I have had the piece for over a year and it still feels and looks like its brand new! I not only use it as a next to skin piece for skiing, but lately I have been wearing it as a stand alone piece to run in the chilly mornings. I even find my self wearing it around the house as a cozy, comfy I just want to relax piece. Purrrfect.

Well, well, well

Fabric felt strange in comparison to the Patagonia silkweight and the merino wool. Tested on a full day hike in temps from 50-80's. Evaporated sweat faster than my heart was pounding while ascending with temps in the low 80's. I would avoid wearing in higher temps. With a primaloft vest, it was fine in the 50's, except with wind gusts. I also used it on the last heat of the Spartan Beast NorCal. It was soaked in rain and mud, yet kept me warm and comfy from afternoon to sunset.

The fit is fine, just order up. I wear a small in Patagonia, but the medium AR fits well.

I have only used this shirt twice, but both times it kept me very warm with just a wind stopper soft shell over it. It's super comfy and stretches where you need it to. I think it's going to be my new go to baselayer! Highly recommend!
