Arc'teryx Micon Pant - Men's

Item # ARC1171

You'd estimate that on the finest powder days, you spend at least 50% of your time submerged in white fluff. The Arc'teryx Micon Pant withstands even your most intense submarine runs through fresh powder bowls so you can ski all day. A Gore-Tex Pro Shell three-layer exterior guarantees breathability, not to mention total protection from moisture in all its forms.

  • Fully taped seams prevent seepage even from lingering water
  • Coreline lining adds comfort and warmth
  • Coreloft insulation throughout traps body heat and leaves the cold outside
  • Mesh-lined vents allow for temperature regulation without compromising protection from the snow
  • Relaxed fit and wide-leg design accommodate layers and fit over ski boots with ease
  • Elasticized gaiters seal out snow from the ground level up

Bottom Line:

Enabling triple-digit ski day seasons for your recreational pleasure.

I tried on the beta Ar pant in a large and they got perfect. Do the micons fit larger than that were I would need a medium?

Hmm, I have to say, the Micon (Sabre) fits larger both in waist and girth, than the Beta AR. I'm a 32" waist and have the Micon in Med (which I love-worked great at Snowbird today) and I need a belt to keep them locked in place. I'd say if you're bigger than 33" waist go large, otherwise, med will work better. They have a pretty sweet waist adjustment on the inside waistband which can adjust the waist almost 2" for layers or guts.

I suggest a large in the Micons. The waist will be the same. The Micons are a baggier fit, so they'll be larger from the seat and thighs on down.

Excellent resort pants

By:
January 6, 2012

I got a size M of this item recently, and tried them on snow for the first time yesterday. In my opinion this is very good winter gear! I have used nothing but shell gear over the past years, but this insulated pant works very well. Though, I don't think I will ever go touring with them - for that they are too baggy and warm. I used them for evening skiing (-4 Celsius) with a thin wool insulation layer underneeth, and that was perfect.

About sizing: I normally use Medium sized clothing, but this "relaxed fit" pair of pants is just at the (max baggyness) limit of what I feel comfortable.

Scott, inventory questions seem to go unanswered for periods of time. You would have much better luck using the "Chat Now" feature or calling the toll free number and talking to a BC service rep.
