Arc'teryx Cita Top - Sleeveless - Women's - 2011 BCS
There are performance tanks, and then there are Arc'teryx performance tanks. The Cita Sleeveless Top is an Arc'teryx performance tank. The differences between this and a cheaper, flimsier top are pretty clear. An anatomically paneled, smooth-seamed cut will never chafe, even when you sweat through a grueling 18-mile hilly trail run. Quick-drying synthetic fabric has a mesh backing that aids wicking, and a mesh back panel provides superb ventilation. (Because really, who likes having a sweat-soaked back? Gross.) An X-Static fabric treatment minimizes odor build-up, wide straps won't slip as you move, and a smooth outer fabric face layers easily when the weather gets cooler. Arc'teryx also added a hip stash pocket for your car key or little MP3 player, so you can add a soundtrack to your workout.

This may not be the world's most flattering top (the higher neckline and color block pattern are odd) but it is ridiculously comfortable and breathable. The length is great for closing off gaps between pants and top, does not ride up, and the fabric is very breathable. Perfect for summer, but I'll be layering it for fall runs and then wearing it in the gym this winter.
