ALPS Mountaineering Zephyr 2 Tent 2-Person 3-Season Tent
If you spend a big chunk of your spring, summer, and fall nights in the backcountry, you’ll want a reliable, roomy shelter like the ALPS Mountaineering Zephyr 2 Tent. With its sealed seams and urethane-coated fly and floor, this lightweight three-season tent keeps you and your campmate dry in March moisture and during those fast-melting September snowfalls. The Zephyr 2 sets up quickly—two alloy aluminum poles and a simple clip system take it easy on your bed-ready brain. Mesh walls provide essential ventilation when your tent buddy has a sweaty dream. ALPS Mountaineering designed the fly to buckle securely to the tent and included stakes and guys for stability during heinous storms. Stash your mud-caked boots and soggy rain gear in the large vestibule and your book and headlamp in the mesh storage pocket before you sink into REM state.
Bottom Line:
When the winds pick up and the clouds are full, be glad you’re bedding down in the Zephyr 2.

Also, I want to point out that the weight spec given here is incorrect. The spec given by the manufacturer is 4 lbs 12 oz, I weighed mine and confirmed it is indeed 4.75 lbs. Still not ultra light, but a half pound lighter than BC and DoG is listing.

I am thinking of picking this up for a Boundary Waters portage this July; splitting weight with a two-man opposed to two one-man. Anyway, what kind of footprint did you get for it?

They don't carry the footprint here on BC. here's a link to the footprint for this tent over 60% off. I just picked mine up, can't wait to try it out. http://www.hutshop.com/7711011.html
