This jacket is more waterproof than you'll ever need on any regular hill. Its 15k is more than most others(10k). I wasn't too sure about the wool, but it's super soft on the neck and non-bothersome. This jacket does run very true to size (which is kind of big), so DON'T buy big, even if you plan to under layer. Way more pockets than you'll ever need on this guy too. I've been riding for 21 years, about 30+ days a season and only need to replace a jacket about every 3-5 years. I think I'm good for another 5 now.
