66 North Iceland Vik Hooded Sweater - Women's - 2008

66 North Iceland Vik Hooded Sweater - Women's - 2008 BCS

Item # SNI0121

When you zip up the front of the 66 North Iceland Women’s Vik Hooded Sweater, you’ll notice that your torso and neck both get covered in soft, stretchy Polartec Power Stretch Velour fabric. You’ll also notice that the zipper goes up the middle of this sweater and then veers to the side so don’t have to deal with a zipper in the middle of your chin. When you pull up the hood you’ll be stoked to find out that because of an anatomical fit, the hood won’t blow off when it gets windy. High-reach sleeves, seamless shoulders, and thumb holes in the cuffs round out this mid-layer and top-layer sweater.

Bottom Line:

Such soft, sweet surprises.

Too small

By:
December 2, 2011

I am s- m but after reading the review I order a L. But it is really tight on the arms and I do not have big arms. The hoodie Is pretty strange and small. Suppose you have to go up two sizes if you want to have a layer under it. I got the blue color, it is more a purple/ blue color and it is nice but I have to return it and order a bigger size. Strange to have s and have to order XL.
Use to buy houdini and the fabric in the 66 NI is much tinner.

Fits small

I just got this - very cool looking jacket. The fabric is warm and stretchy - very comfortable. Unfortunately the fit is somehow very small. I am always an XS (5'4" and 110lb) and this one is tight on. But the biggest problem is the hood. The hood is very interesting but it won't zip all the way over my head - maybe I have a big head but it doesn't even fit over my 12 year old daughter's! It's a nice concept, but I think it still needs a little work.
Another minor problem is that it doesn't have hand warmer pockets. It really is meant for a layering piece...

I have long arms and this sweater has long sleeves that fit well and the thumb-holes are very comfortable, unlike some others that feel stretched when worn with thumb-holes. Alas, I am returning this one. I really like the material and look of the jacket, tho.
